New For 2006. The Smartstart 48 Watt model makes use of  2 No 24 watt  germicidal Smarstart lamps.

The 48 watt model is suitable for ponds up to 3,000 gallons (13500 litres), based on full sun exposure.

It is believed that the 48 watt model will prove to be immensely popular when it can be easily upgraded at a later date to a 72 watt version, simply by changing the lamps for a larger size.
